Where To Stay In Baguio City?

This is one of the many questions that people ask me via email, where to stay in Baguio City? Well before i answer that question let me give you a small background. Baguio City is also known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines, of course you might already know that, but one thing that might interest you is that tourism flow, as i’ve noticed, is all year round, which means that influx of tourists does not only happen during specific months of the year. Yes, of course high influx of tourists still happens during the months of December to May.

The continuous flow of tourists in the City of Baguio may be attributed to the cold weather, warm people and exciting tourist destinations. It is because of these factors that many business establishments have adapted a set up that would cater to both locals and tourists.

Where To Stay in Baguio City?

So lets go back to the question, where to stay in Baguio City? I will answer that question by giving you the three ways on where you could stay in the City of Baguio.

1. Baguio Hotels – because the city has a vibrant tourism industry, many businessmen and entrepreneurs constructed their hotels as one of their business ventures. There are several baguio hotels for you to choose from, from the cheapest to the elegant hotels you name it, Baguio City has it.

2. Baguio Transient Houses – of course there are times when you cannot afford to stay at a hotel or you might just not need the luxury that hotels can offer. Don’t fret because you can always book a baguio transient house, the good thing about these transient houses is that they offer rooms good for families or large groups, some might even let you use their kitchen and other amenities. For those on a budget try a baguio transient house.

3. Stay with A Friend – there is nothing more adventurous than staying with a friends house in Baguio City or even the nearby La Trinidad area. Contact a friend and you might just have one of the best stay in the City of Pines.

Baguio Hotels? Baguio Transient House?

Of course you might be torn between the two choices unless you go with option 3, but really the dilemma is within these two. My family and I have tried staying at a Baguio Hotel and a Baguio Transient House, if your goal is convenience then a Baguio Hotel could be the best choice however if your priority is affordability then a Baguio Transient House might be your best bet. If i were to choose however, location is everything, it doesn’t matter if its a hotel or a transient house as long as it is located in a place where i can feel that i truly am in Baguio away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Because Serenity, Peace and Calmness and Communing with Nature is what truly defines Baguio City.
