It’s November 5  and today is the launching of the Panagbenga 2013 in Baguio City. The Launching of the Panagbenga 2013 with the theme “A Blooming Odyssey” was graced by the the City Mayor, Mauricio Domogan and some of the City Councilors. The simple launching of the 18th Flower festival at the City Hall grounds was attended by residents, city hall employees and different media personalities. During the event the schedule for the Panagbenga Festival 2013 was revealed. The schedule that was made public pertains only to the traditional activities being done during Panagbenga.

Note:

The schedule of course is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, the schedule does not include the different community-led events. The schedule is going to be updated from time to time as information is received.

The Baguio Flower Festival or commonly known as Panagbenga is the annual Festival being held in Baguio City, to celebrate not only the blossoming of flowers but also the blooming economy and prosperity in the City of Pines. It is considered as one of the Philippines’ crowd-drawers as people from different parts of the country would come up to the City of Baguio in order to witness the colorful floats adorned with flowers as well as the creative activities that are lined up for the whole month of February, in this case up to the first three days of March.

Panagbenga 2013 Better than Last Year

As always the Panagbenga Organizers promised that the 18th Baguio Flower Festival is going to be better than last year, with more twists and turns. The Panagbenga 2013 is going to be, from my point of view, something we should look forward  to as it is going to be a lot more exciting!

   magtatanong lang po. 1st time ko kasing manonood if ever ng flower parade. and i want my kids to witness them too. kelan po ba talaga yung parade ng naggagandahang flower floats? saka if ever san po ang daan? baka may mga hotels na dinadaanan mismo ng parade. salamat

     The Grand Street Dancing Parade is on Feb. 23, 2013 and the Grand Float Parade is on Feb. 24, 2013.

      This is the schedule released by the Panagbenga Secretariat office, and yes the street dancing is a cultural presentation of Cordilleran dances portrayed by representatives from different schools in Baguio City.

    hi there, asa baguio kami last feb 16-17 kaya sad to say walang sked ang activities for the panangbenga that time…but na lang kahit funrun meron nung feb 17, anyways, wala naman… baguio is still the place na pdeng iisit ng paulit ulit…i love the people, they are so friendly…we love the weather… ????
