Panagbenga 2015 Formally Opened
In a simple ceremony conducted at the Baguio City Hall it is clear that Panagbenga 2015 is going to be an exciting Festival yet again. This is because it is not only considered as the festival of Baguio City but also its neighboring municipalities, we can clearly say that this is going to be the Festival of the BLISTT area (Baguio City, La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba and Tublay). This BLISTT festival is to show the interconnection between the city and municipalities towards development. Although Baguio City is a Chartered City and considered independent we cannot deny the fact that there is a synergy between Baguio and the municipalities surrounding it.
The Panagbenga 2015 Theme
The Theme for this year’s Panagbenga is “Across 20 Years, Blossoming Together”. This theme is symbolized by the Panagbenga 2015 logo which consists of six petals as a representation of Baguio City and the six municipalities showing the interconnection and unity of BLISTT towards development. Panagbenga 2015 encourages not only the residents of Baguio to help organize or join in community-led events but residents in the other municipalities in the BLISTT area are also encouraged to actively participate.
