Panagbenga Festival 2012 Grand Street Dancing Parade

It was only six in the morning of February 25, 2012 and Session Road is already full of people anticipating the start of the Panagbenga Festival Grand Street Parade. When the Parade finally started people were amazed by the colorful presentations of each of the participants. The general theme of the presentations were cultural in nature as the participants presented stories about the traditions and stories of the Cordilleras. The Participants started from the Panagbenga Park to Athletic Bowl and despite the length of the parade route every street dancer gave their best to showcase their talents. This only shows that their months of preparation has paid off and they succeeded in giving justice to the the culture or story that they would like to depict, a culture that is not only inherent in Baguio City but of the entire Cordillera. The Grand street parade is also a contest as the best street dancing parade performers will be receiving cash prices.

Indeed the Grand Street Dancing Parade turned into a rich cultural presentation that is truly Cordillera.
