Travelling has always been at the top of anyone’s bucket list. It may be a way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city or a way to find oneself. Teens for one, are venturing off to the world to create memories and have an adventure of a lifetime and Cebu Pacific brought this opportunity to the Filipino youth. The Juan For Fun backpacking challenge opened the doors to the Filipino teens, a chance to travel all over the 7,107 islands in the country. With over a hundred video entries from all over the Philippines, they picked the ten semi-finalists to battle it out for the top five positions for the grand prize of a one-year travel-all-you-can pass to any of the domestic or international short haul destination of the Philippines’ leading carrier, Cebu Pacific.
Juan For Fun On It’s Sixth Year
This year marks the sixth and biggest of the annual run, that would bring the young travelers to their dream destinations. They added the first Juan For Fun Academy a two-day workshop where the finalists learned to capture the most exciting part of their journey to effectively sharing these on their social media pages from travel experts who served to be their coaches, YouTube Vlogger Wil Dasovich, Becoming Filipino advocate Kyle Jennerman, Beautiful Destination Social Media Strategist Ren Sapitan, International Blogger of JustOneWayTicket.com Sabrina Iovino and returning coach and travel writer Jude Bacalso.
The Juan For Fun Final 5 Teams
In determining the final 5 teams, the semi-finalist went on an adventure throughout the Manila area on a limited budget and produce a same day edit video. Out of the 10 participants; Team Barbie, and Team Juanton from Davao; Team Phun from Bacolod; Team Patsada from Cagayan de Oro; and Team Malackai from Baguio moves on to the final leg of the race.
The JFF coaches also bestowed the Coaches’ Choice award to Team Malackai for having the most captivating and exciting content on social media on their Manila Pre-Challenge.
Juan For Fun 2017 Final Challenge
For their last test, the top 5 teams will be going on a 7-day trip around the Philippines with a budget of P40,000, their gadgets, and Cebu Pacific flights in hand, they will follow their thrill for their chosen destinations that started on July 17, 2017.
The semi-final send-off for the participants was conducted in Ibiza Beach Club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
