Discovering Venus Garden
Venus Garden, named after the owner CEO-Entrepreneur Ms. Venus Navalta opened on March 28, 2018. The event was filled friends and family of the owner, Ms Venus – and of course bloggers were invited too. We were welcomed by Kat (the owner’s niece), she was warm and friendly, she helped us get seated.
The main dish (meat- salmon, chicken, beef & pork )were served hot, straight out of the grill by the veranda. It was served with delectable sauces by the chef, who by the way, have had broad experience in preparing dishes to prime hotels and resto around Baguio. The steak was Angus Beef, it was juicier, more tender and flavorful than other typical beef. The salmon was firm and smokey, it was great.
Sumptuous Side Dish
The side dishes were buttered vegetables and lasagna. The salad was garden-fresh and crisp and there was three selection of dressings and vinaigrette. I went crazy mixing and preparing my salad – especially when I saw the cherry tomatoes, my absolute favorite. There was a wide selection of fruits for desserts too, it was super fun to top fruits with whip cream – simple but tasty.
Cozy and Homey
The ambiance was literally cozy, it was intended as a family vacation home of Ms. Venus. The house was modern and neat, having wide glass windows that allowed natural light to brighten up the place. The view from the veranda was exquisite, you will see pine trees and the greens of the nearby golf club and of course, the cold and peaceful fog.
I also admire the stylish wooden furnitures and fixtures, particularly the ceiling, it looks lovely together with the pumpkin-shaped chandeliers. The house has three-floors, the main dining is located on the first floor. The rooms at the second and third floor are still private residence but soon she plans to rent it out for special events or even for airbnb.
How to Get There
Ms. Kat and Ms. Venus were very attentive, they even toured us around their home (upstairs). They were humble and accommodating to us. Venus Restaurant is perfect for family and friend gatherings, wedding and special events. They are located at #28 Gulf View Horizon, Suello Village, going there could get a little bit tricky, but with the help of Google Map we were able to find where exactly the resto is. You can contact them through Facebook – Venus Garden (@VenusGarden Restaurant) and they will surely be attentive to your inquiry and booking.
