Mayor Magalong has just officially announced the CANCELLATION of the Panagbenga 2020 Flower Festival here in Baguio City which was to be held on March 21, 2020. In a press conference held with the DOH Cordillera Regional Director Amelita Paniligan and Baguio Flower Festival Foundation, Inc. regarding COVID-19, the City government of Baguio announced the cancellation of the Flower Festival along with the suspension of crowd-drawing activities such as the Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Meet (CARAA) 2020 the Sunday Pedestrianization, and the famous Night Market, which will be suspended for 14 days. With regards to the currently ongoing Baguio Blooms Exposition at the Baguio Convention Center, it was said in the press conference that a different meeting will be held to discuss if it will continue.
